Connecta Tool System

I led Johnny's tools team through a design and development effort to produce a quality interchangeable tool system. It was imperative to design a robust product that was quick and easy for tool swapping. We began our process by focusing on the latching mechanism. Establishing a mechanism that was both intuitive and secure when engaged was important. Once we had our mechanism, we could explore how we might shape the product to better unify the form language of the tool head and receiver. After countless months of development, we finally arrived at a design that was intuitive and easy while simultaneously remaining strong and secure. I'm really proud of our results.
